"I believe that when our economy is in a slump, the answer is never reaching into the pockets of Nevadans with another tax hike. We must reevaluate the role of government to guarantee that necessary services are provided while practicing fiscal responsibility." - I will fight wasteful spending and ensure that revenues are being spent efficiently and responsibly.
- I believe government should live within its means – Fiscal discipline is spending discipline.
- I support the removal of the cap on the "rainy day fund" – It only makes sense to cap spending, not savings.
- I support a Zero-Based Budget System and abolishing agencies and programs that are no longer needed.
- Bureaucrats need to be accountable and transparency is a must – Government must always remember that they are entrusted with your money.
- We need to enact a Google Government – Where all budgets and activity are available to taxpayers to view online. This should have happened already, not in the protracted timeline that is presently proposed.
- We should look at brief, yearly budget sessions, to manage budget changes as they occur and be more responsive to economic conditions.
Sean Fellows: Our Education System

"Our children are our future and it is critical we support them. I will fight for accountability in our schools and for more empowerment in our classrooms. Nevada schools need more top-notch teachers and smaller class sizes so our children have the opportunities and attention they deserve."
- I believe that improving our schools is critical to the future of our state and our economy.
- I will work to direct more money into the classroom – students and teachers deserve nothing less.
- We should reward excellent teachers by paying them like the professionals they are - and hold underachieving teachers accountable.
- School administrators must be held accountable for the quality of education in our schools.
- Parents and students deserve as many educational options as possible – home school, charter school, empowerment school, career and technical school, open zoning, etc.
Sean Fellows: Energy Policy

"Nevada is in the unique position to step up and serve as a national leader as it pertains to energy diversification. I will promote new, clean, and reliable sources of energy such as next generation coal, while promoting clean power from renewable energy such as wind, solar, and geothermal power. A multi-axis approach is required to reduce our spiraling energy costs and the negative effects it has on our environment." - We need to maximize our potential and keep our money here in Nevada rather than sending it outside the state to buy energy.
- We need to become an energy exporter and use our natural resources as an economic development resource.
- We need to continue the legislative work of Senator Randolph Townsend, who has championed renewable energy in Nevada.
- We need to continue to invest in new technology and development so that we can someday rid ourselves of triple-digit utility bills and carbon emissions. Some say it's too far off or too difficult; that should not preclude us from working toward a challenging goal.
- I support providing incentives for home builders and homeowners to make their homes more energy efficient.
- I will fight to keep the cost of gas down by opposing efforts to increase fuel taxes.
Sean Fellows: Health Care
"Health care is an issue that affects all Nevadans. The conservative principles of personal responsibility and free market dynamics will help solve the problem. I am committed to helping relieve the burden of healthcare costs for families and small businesses. I will fight for legislation to make healthcare more affordable, accessible, and portable for all Nevadans."
- Nevadans deserve to visit their doctor of choice as well as choose a health care program the suits their individual needs.
- I will fight to retain the medical liability reform standards mandated by Nevada voters.
- Government failed leading up the Hepatitis crisis by being complacent and allowing it to occur– Safeguards must be in place to ensure that it never happens again.
- We must empower patients and doctors while focusing on preventative primary care.
- I will continue to support successful programs such as Nevada Check Up and Nevada's Senior Rx Program – Our children and elderly must be protected.
Sean Fellows: Immigration

"The United States was formed by the dreams and the work ethic of immigrants who decided to come to here via legal paths towards citizenship. The federal government’s failure in its responsibility has passed a significant burden onto Nevada. Illegal immigration has eroded Americans' faith in the rule of law, put great pressure on our health and education systems, and compromised our national security. I fully support an immigrants desire to pursue the ‘American Dream’ so long as they follow established laws." - We must secure our borders; border security is synonymous with national security.
- I support denying illegal immigrant’s taxpayer funded privileges including driver's licenses.
- I support sanctioning employers who knowingly hire illegal immigrants.
- I oppose the awarding of the Governor Guinn Millennium Scholarships to illegal immigrants.
Sean Fellows: Transportation and Development

"Without new and creative approaches, our existing infrastructure will continue to operate beyond acceptable levels causing public safety concerns, jeopardizing our economy, and will negatively affect our quality of life."
- We must look at all options to solve Nevada's transportation needs to help prevent an infrastructure crisis in the near future.
- We must follow the lead of Clark County Commissioner Bruce Woodbury by building partnerships between state and local governments so that we are planning today to meet tomorrow's needs.
- We need to continue the development of Ivanpah Airport to ease the burden on McCarran International and to encourage further growth of our tourism industry.
- I will work with our Congressional delegation to ensure Nevada receives more resources from the Federal Highway Trust Fund.
- We need to continue to develop mass transit options, such as light rail and DesertXpress, to help ease the traffic burdens in Nevada.
- I support efforts to increase Public-Private Partnerships – They have a proven record of increasing efficiencies.
- We must create a long-term plan for our water supply by supporting legislation to ensure that Nevadans have an adequate water supply for years to come.
- Economic diversification makes sense for our community, but growth needs to be carefully planned and needs to be consistent with the needs and concerns of neighbors.
